Minneapolis, Minnesota — Today, millions of people are gathering together at more than 3,300 No Kings Day demonstrations across the country and solidarity rallies around the world to non-violently protest against Donald Trump’s fascist power grab.
“The Trump administration has cut healthcare and social services, raised tariffs, waged an evil, unconstitutional war against Iran, and watched as their ICE and Border Patrol foot soldiers committed murder on live video,” said Hunter Dunn, 50501 National Press Coordinator. “They have waged war against our democracy and against the working people of this country to cover up Trump’s connection to Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring and to line the pockets of the billionaire class. Today, the American people are standing up against ICE, against oligarchy, and against this fascist and un-American regime.”

“Last October, we had about 2,700 protests, and this time, we have over 3,300 protests across the nation,” said 50501 National Coordinator and speaker at the Twin Cities No Kings Protest, Sarah Parker. “Today, we are standing up against what is happening across the country – the illegal war in Iran, that people can’t afford groceries or fuel and have to choose between feeding their families and healthcare, the kidnapping of children, and the masked men executing American citizens in the street. Come out, be a part of history, and remember that you are the linchpin of our democracy.”
The March 28th national day of action, “No Kings Day,” is a follow-up to the first two No Kings Days, when over 5 million people and then over 7 million people drowned out President Trump’s birthday parade with protests in every state and across the globe. Now, in the wake of the murders of Keith Porter Jr., Renee Nicole Good, Alex Pretti, Geraldo Campos and dozens of more innocent people, the illegal attack on Venezuela and war on Iran, the rising cost of living for working families, and the continued attempts to silence dissent and attack the security of our elections, even more Americans are coming together to stand up for our freedoms against tyranny.
“The freedom to speak truth to power, and the obligation to speak out against a would-be tyrant.” 50501 Communications Coordinator and veteran Logan Keith said at the Artists United for Our Freedom rally outside the Kennedy Center on March 27th. “That is what today is, and that is what tomorrow is. We show up, we speak out, and we refuse to be silent.”
